Miami International Airport

Commonly known as MIA, the Miami International Airport is located in a distant area of Miami-Dade County(Florida). Historically, Wilcox Field is South Florida’s primary airport.

Some of the main airlines using the services of this airport are American Eagle, UPS Airlines, FedEx Express and Miami Air. It connects Europe, America, Canary Islands and Asia through cargo and passenger flights. It’s the largest opening between Latin America and United States. And due to its tactical location in handling traffic between Europe, North America and Latin America it has become a prominent airport in the United States.

MIA was ranked number one in the US in terms of international flights in 2010. During this year a total of 35,698,025 passengers used the services of this airport making it 28th busiest globally. Also it is the largest one in Florida in terms of cargo handling.
